Join BFT in the planting of mountain woodland across Talla and Gamehope and the Carrifran Wildwood. This planting will help to create a nationally rare woodland habitat spreading across both BFT owned sites. Mountain Woodland (aka Montane scrub) has been virtually eliminated from south Scotland and this planting will return juniper and willow scrub communities to ground over 600m. Held over 2 days with the opportunity to camp in the inspiring Carrifran Wildwood, Alterntively join in for a day only.
Day 1: Walk in to the camp site then hike up to over 600m to plant a range of native species on both Talla and Gameshope and the Carrifran Wildwood.
Day 2: After packing up the camp, return up high for more planting then descend, load up and back to the car park for around 5pm.
Booking essential: to book and for more information contact Andy Wilson, Site Officer firstname.lastname@example.org
