BFT Family Challenge

Discovery Level John Muir Award

Between April and September, take part in simple, free and fun outdoor activities and achieve a Family John Muir Award – Discovery Level.

Children balanced on a rope tied between 2 trees.

Once you have signed up, we will send regular updates providing inspiration and resources for a wide variety of outdoor activities and challenges, e.g. den building, simple camp fire cooking, arts and crafts, wildlife surveys, conservation activities and much more to help you connect and enjoy the nature in your local environment.

There is no pressure to complete every activity – this is to be enjoyed at your leisure. All we will ask is for you to keep in touch with us and to keep a family record (photographs, journal, scrapbook) of your adventures. At the end you will earn a certificate that recognises all your achievements.

Applications for 2021 are now closed, but you don’t have to be signed up to take part in the activities – feel free to have a go and let us know how you get on!
